Safe Journeys in December, 2021

12/16/2021

Many of you knew I was making the trip from Oregon to Texas this stormy week so I want to reassure you that I made it through around the edges of the worst weather.
I left the Florence Fellowship after Sunday’s service and the class that followed, drove to my new little home in town, changed clothes, finished loading the car, refilled my water bottle – and was on the road by 1pm. I had checked the weather and it was clear I wouldn’t be going south on I-5 with the storm in the Siskiyous, or north to I-84, with the rain and snow there, so that meant going East.
First leg was across the Cascades after the first snowfall. Absolutely beautiful – though slow going, of course.
Picture
I did have a significant adventure that first night, however.
It took longer than anticipated to get through the mountains so I got into Central Oregon later, and the temperature plunged further, than expected.  All that meant Hwy 97 was a ribbon of ice, with a long line of cars and trucks moving slowly and steadily along – until about 30 miles north of Klamath Falls when I came over a rise and there before me was a string of brake lights.
I tapped the brake gently … and spun around! Out of control! The first time in years of driving in all kinds of conditions. I ended up on the opposite shoulder, facing the other direction, stopped by the bank of snow created by the snowplow. Everything's working, not even really shook up – whew!
Then the driver of the truck that had been behind me came over to see if I was okay. I was fine, with lots of blankets and food and water, and told him so. He told me he wished he could help but the car was too far into the snow to get me out.  Then he said something that I didn’t even really register until later: “yeah, that ice is something. It’s a good thing the truck that’s in front of me saw me coming and moved a bit or I would have hit him.” Oh my! My car would have been smashed between them if it hadn’t spun away! Thanks be to All That Is for taking care of me so well!
He got back in his truck and a few minutes later the line of traffic moved a bit and a few cars came the other direction. I turned on my flashing lights and called my insurance company, and they started trying to find a tow truck. At one point a woman asked if I would be okay spending the night there…. ??!! On the side of a major highway with cars and trucks sliding in 24degree weather?? – possible, but definitely not preferable!
I had just shut the phone off when there was another tap at the window. Another truck driver was asking if I was okay – such nice people!  I reassured him and then he said “would you like it if I got a few guys to help you get out of here?” And of course I said, “That would be fantastic!”
The next thing I knew there were half a dozen men with shovels and garbage can lids clearing away the snow from under and around my car, then a guy showed up with a big tow rope, and another was in an SUV backing up in front of me… the line of cars and trucks had begun to move again but they stuck with me – wow.
I have no idea what they tied that big, thick rope to but they did, and soon I was gently accelerating, keeping that rope taught, spinning the wheels only a little … and then I was moving! Out of the snowbank and onto the road! Whoopee! Thank you! Thank you! I shouted my thanks to all involved – and to the divine Presence they had embodied for those powerful minutes in the dark and cold.
The guys were out of there in seconds, all back in their trucks and headed south. I drove north a few hundred feet and was able to turn around and head south, as well.
In a few minutes the road was clear and wet, then clear and dry. I drove into Klamath Falls around 7pm, refilled the gas tank and picked up a turkey wrap. I was feeling good so I thought maybe I might complete the planned distance even though I was nearly 3 hours behind schedule.
Heading south out of Klamath Falls was lovely – clear and dry. Then, suddenly I was in a blizzard, and the road was again icy. And the car wanted to slide. Nope – not happening again. I gingerly eased it around and headed back into town, where the Motel 6 was open and the guy at the desk said a lot of people were there who hadn’t planned to be.
Oh, by the way, the motel reservations I had made online for much further down the road that night (and hadn’t cancelled) had not gone through – the server had gone down just as I had hit “confirm” so I was not charged. The Universe really does take care of me.
In the motel room I checked the weather and wondered if I was going to spend a couple days in K Falls… but in the morning, I was awakened by car doors slamming. I peaked out the window – no snow! no ice! And when I checked the forecast for various spots, there was clear and warm temperatures at all points Eastward. So I headed for Winnemucca and Salt Lake City.

Polarity and Anger -Why so much today?

11/1/2021

Almost everyone I see or speak with asks this question, these days. And I don’t blame them: it’s almost overwhelming how many people are expressing anger – and how much attention the media puts on it!
So let’s begin with the awareness that whatever is happening of this sort is greatly enhanced by all the media attention it’s getting. You know how it is: give kids attention for what they’re doing and they’ll do more if it; let people who are feeling lost and scared see an example showing them that acting out is okay, and they’ll act out.
Then let’s accept that the media’s job is to focus on what’s not working, not normal. When we do that what they’re talking about begins to slip back into – oh yeah, this is a one-in-several-thousand “man bites dog” news item.
Finally, let’s remember that the old rules of polite conversation (once called “manners”) were to avoid talking about religion, politics, sex, or money – for a reason! People have always tended to disagree, and sometimes fight, about those subjects! But today, those tend to be the primary topics of conversation, in all circles.
Recognizing all that, hopefully some of the distress we’ve been carrying has been reduced a little…
All that having been said, we are truly seeing increased fragmentation and polarization in our culture – across all nations and states. And, believe it or not, it’s a totally natural process, the result of several dynamics in the cultural system.
First, the shear number of people has been growing exponentially for decades, and all research on mammalian populations tells us that increased population density leads to increases in: gangs (polarized groups), violence, infanticide and miscarriage, and property theft.
Second, the business model of corporate greed has been globalized – which encourages competition and aggressive behaviors in workers, and requires assertive reactions by consumers and regulators.
Third, the cultural values of “acquire, accumulate, control” associated with that globalized culture, have led to the destruction and exploitation of our shared resource base, and so the behaviors associated with scarcity are increasing exponentially.
Fourth, the communications links across cultural groups have dramatically increased. But this is also the case within ideological groups, making it almost impossible NOT to have one’s belief system reinforced – it’s possible to live in an ‘information cocoon” that never challenges any of one’s ideas, however far from the actual “facts” (or other peoples’ experience) they may be.
So, the conditions for fragmentation and polarization are fully in place, and continue to expand exponentially. (No, it’s not Facebook or Google’s fault; they’re simply part of, and designed in a way they must reinforce, the process.)
David Bohm talks about the roots of this dynamic in his book Wholeness and the Implicate Order[1]. Bohm, a 20th-century physicist specializing in quantum mechanics, saw that the way we teach and learn about the world encourages us to separate it into fragments:
…the prevailing tendency in science to think and perceive in terms of a fragmentary self-world vies is part of a larger movement that has been developing over the ages and that pervades almost the whole of our society today; … tends very strongly to re-enforce the general fragmentary approach because it gives men a picture of the whole world as constituted of nothing but an aggregate of separately existent “atomic building blocks”…
He goes on to say that this tendency has broad implications for how individuals see themselves:
One might in fact go so far as to say that in the present state of society, and in the present general mode of teaching science, which is a manifestation of this state of society, a kind of prejudice in favour of a fragmentary self-world view is fostered and transmitted… (…mainly in an implicit and unconscious manner)… men who are guided by such a fragmentary self-world view cannot, in the long run, do other than to try in their actions to break themselves and their world  into pieces.

The Veil is Getting Very Thin Indeed!

too long? - download the pdf
"Apparently there is an After-Life" ~ Raymond Moody
Have you noticed how many people are talking about, writing about, and interviewing others about, Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) lately? Interest in the subject has got to be at an all-time high; of all my talks on YouTube, the one I did for the Florence Unitarians on this subject back in 2017 is the most viewed (LINK).
Is it just that the work of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, Brian Weiss, Raymond Moody, and half a dozen other psychotherapists made this topic acceptable - or are many more people, in fact, experiencing another plane of existence?
Yesterday, in my Course In Miracles class, we read again the words in Chapter Two: “'Heaven and Earth shall pass away' means that they will not always exist as separate states." Wow. Not destruction but union! No more separation! Is it possible? Placed in context, it's clear that the narrator of the Course, who identifies as Jesus Christ, is telling us that what we call Heaven is our natural state of being and what we call Earth is the experience we have been projecting around us as our minds have become culturally conditioned to think that we are separated from the Source of our life and wellbeing. In short, they are not 2 different life spaces, but rather 2 different ways of experiencing life.
So that means that what we call NDEs are not the journeys of our souls into another set of dimensions of space-time, but are rather experiences of our true life, our actual state of being, from which we are generating this dream we call birth, life, and death on Earth.
The folks who describe their NDEs tell us that, in the life which we call Heaven, unconditional love and acceptance, and an intensity of life without decay, light without darkness, and blissful joy, are the norm. There is no duality, no contrast, no conflict, no sense of "not okay" when they are in that state of being, that state of awareness.
They tell us that there is a sense of "travelling to" that state, often through the darkness of deep space, but only a few describe an equivalent journey back "into" their Earthly body. Usually it's a sudden "thump" and they're opening their eyes in the Earth world they had "left."
In the Vedic tradition of Hindus and Buddhists, there is a concept, satchitananda, which can be loosely translated as "love-bliss-consciousness". People in that tradition are encouraged to find that state of being and live in it and from it as much as possible. Entering into the meditative state of samadhi is a way get there. And, not too surprisingly, the people who achieve it often describe their experience as one of unconditional love, joyful bliss, and an intensity of life and light everywhere, with no sense of duality or conflict among the various aspects of being.
Is there a connection?
Is it possible that who we are is, truly, "not human beings but spiritual beings having a human experience" (to quote Wayne Dyer)? Is it true that when we are "awake" and active in this body we are actually in a dream-state in our heavenly bodies, generating this life experience?

Oh my goodness! What a winter it's been!
If we needed proof that things are out of balance, we've certainly had it in the past several weeks!

Many of you have heard me talk about how the work of (what we call) the shaman in an earth-centered culture is, largely, to recognize imbalances and restore them for the good of the people and their environment.  Some of that work is intuitive: being able to "see" and discern at a deep level what's really happening, regardless of appearances. Some of that is teaching and informing: letting folks know what the problem is and what needs to be done. Some of that is, frankly, promotion and marketing: persuading folks that they really do need to do something - often radically different from what they have been doing. And, then, finally, there is the specific action, or set of actions, to be done - in both the material world, and the spiritual.

And I know that many of you have completed at least some shamanic training (whether from an indigenous teacher or in another form), and are doing a lot to help us experience a more balanced world. In fact, many of us are convinced that it is your work (dare I say our work?) that has made it possible for folks to say "It could have been a lot worse ... no idea why it wasn't" about some of the events we've experienced so far in 2021.

And there's sooooo much more to be done! By many, many more people!

Which is why, when Milt Markewitz asked me to co-write a new book with him, based on the fundamental principles of our earlier book, Language of Life, but connecting much more deeply with indigenous peoples, I agreed.
Picture
What we ended up putting together is a guide for building the bridge between the "Already Knowing" that folks who grew up speaking languages that are tied to earth's processes live by and the disconnected culture of acquisition and control that we grew up in.

And it's more than a book. Milt and his colleagues are prepared to "go viral" with these ideas and actions, so we've included all sorts of links to activities and learnings that are going on in the world today, which we believe are contributing to the restoration process.

The links are live in the ebook version
(Kindle:

and on the Gaia Living Systems Institute site:  https://gaialivingsystems.org/rebalanceearth.html .
It's been an amazing ride.. and it's about to become even more amazing. As we move through the weeks and months ahead of us, that which is out of balance with Earth's processes will be brought into alignment - sometimes gently, and sometimes not so - and we are part of that process!

The trick is to keep our hearts and minds focused on what we're creating rather than being distracted by the appearances as they crumble around us... It's a proven fact: Light and Love win. Every time. Now, and always.

Lifting Up Our Image of this Nation

1/9/2021

What we saw on January 6 is not who we are - but it does show us that something is really off-balance in our nation, our world, our communities - and our selves.
I've been traveling and listening and learning more and more about what's happening, which I'll be sharing in my new online class: Understanding Values & Viewpoints in American Politics.

That new class begins with this:

Light in the Darkness

12/13/2020

For much of humanity, the year 2020, and especially this winter, is the darkest time of their lives. It's a time of fear and frustration, of dealing constantly with an unseen, poorly understood "enemy" that seems to have the power to deprive us of life, of coping with economic situations we've never seen before, of feeling cut off and separated from the people and places we hold most dear.
While there are now and have long been troubles in many parts of the world, most of humanity has not faced any sort of hardship in their lives. They have grown up in a time of relative ease, as the global commercial culture has offered more and more interesting tools, toys, and ways to earn an income for more and more people in more and more places over several decades.
So, without a history of having to do without or to find a way through painful or potentially harmful situations, too many people lack the inner skills and tools to help them through this period. Many of them haven't even heard the stories of how their parents or grandparents got through times like these. As a result, they don't know how to make a dollar stretch, or comfort themselves when unexpectedly alone, or connect at a deeper level with folks they don't see regularly. They don't know that "this too will pass," and that even the worst situation is often the best thing that ever happens to us. They only know that they miss what had seemed to be the most important parts of their lives - and they hurt.
The consequences of this lack of knowledge and this deep pain become visible in eruptions of anger and upset. They lead to refusals to go along with regulations and placing blame on whoever's "in charge" or "should have prevented" the situation. They also lead to long hours seeking and searching for an explanation that can make sense, a story of what's happening that makes someone wrong, finding the exploration exciting in itself, getting all kinds of good feelings from solving bits of the puzzle, and beginning to believe that, somehow, that explanation will heal the hurt.
These behaviors are normal, but in a world that has been focusing on short "sound bites" and "memes", rather than in-depth analysis of situations and psychological states, they were not expected. And in a world that can spread such isolated bits of information in a matter of seconds, they have escalated very quickly into what amounts to social movements. And within those movements, no other kind of information is allowed; if it doesn't fit the story they've worked out it must be "fake news."
So now we have a humanity that appears to be divided. And it's not just 2 groups. It's at least 3, maybe 4. One group is those who have been suffering for decades and this is just more - consisting of perhaps 15-20% of the human population (which, by the way, is far fewer than ever before in history). A second group is those who've been through hard times before and are fairly certain they'll make it through, this time, as well, if they just keep centered and do their best - perhaps another 25-30% of folks. The largest group, close to half of the people in the world, are those who are dealing with the unknown and unexpected day-by-day, trying to do the right thing without really knowing how, feeling the strain but willing to keep going for a little while longer, even though they feel hopeless and powerless. The last group - and the most visible and vocal on the news and social media - are the folks who just can't cope with what's happening and are determined that it must be some conspiracy of unreality designed to hurt them and deprive them of their rights and privileges - about 7-10% of the world's population, most loudly in the US, but also gaining ground in other countries.
So now we get to ask the important questions: what do each of these groups represent in me? What part of me feels lost; what part feels like we'll be ok? What part of my consciousness, the mind I'm not always aware of, is certain that someone "out there" is out to take things away from me - and is determined to prove it? What memory or belief have I hung on to that says the world isn't safe and that what is unknown is, by definition, dangerous?
Because, always and everywhere, what we're seeing in the world around us is showing us what we believe, what we hold to be true, what we have assumed to be reality. That's the way the mind works, the way our perceptual systems work, the way humanity is wired. We always see what we believe; no more, no less. Always.
And, as I ask those crucial questions, I can begin to see more and more layers of belief and assumption within me and around me that I have accepted. As I go into the quiet of my own mind, breaking away from the loud voices of fear and distress around me, I find whispers of thoughts and memories - voices of a parent or grandparent, from the television or movie screen, from a book, from the radio and the many songs I've heard or learned to sing. I find bits and pieces of a description of reality that has nothing to do with what's Real, bears no resemblance to the essence of Truth-made-manifest that is our birthright. As I sit or walk and breathe and listen to or let myself see images of what's floating around in my thoughts I begin to understand what it is that I'm seeing in the world - and why.
In most cultures, this technique is taught to children. In almost every culture, this being quiet and reflective is part of each night's process. In the dark we can "see" with our inner vision that which was crowded out by the inputs from our eyes during the day. In our culture, based on the controlling structures of empire, it hasn't been taught, and has been actively discouraged.
Because, as we get in touch with what's Real, we are no longer subject to the fear-and-control mechanisms of the culture; we are able to live "in the world" of global commercial empire, while "not of it." As we understand our own thoughts and motivations we can choose. As we think clearly and intentionally, we can see and experience around us a world that is more like what we were born to be in. And, as we do so, then those things which seemed so daunting or disturbing fade into the far background of our lives - even fade away, for we are not concerned about them or affected by them.
In other times and places, we would be using these long, dark nights to go inside and discover, then release (usually in bonfires) those ideas that no longer serve us - or humanity as a whole - so that in the new year,  when the spring returns, we might experience a more heavenly world, a world built on understanding what's Real, rather than on what we have feared and worried about.
Perhaps that's why CoViD-19 lingers? Perhaps we are being called to use this darkest time of history to find the Light of Truth within, to learn to experience and express the Love that is our essence, to make manifest in the world around us the heavenly world that is our birthright.

Beyond These US elections - What Next?

11/7/2020

Wow. Hanging in the balance... we're like Shrodinger's Cat, a metaphor the quantum theorist came up with to explain how things work at a quantum level: if a cat were in a box with 2 things, one of which will kill it, you don't know if it's alive or dead until you open the box - and in a quantum universe both things are true until you look. More importantly for us, though, both things are true until we believe one of them is.

So what's that got to do with this election? Everything!  As long as it hangs in the balance we have the opportunity to think, feel, and KNOW the truth about it. And when we truly do, we will see the results.

I heard a man tell a story about how he got a phone call at work saying that his family had been in a skiing accident a couple hundred miles away. He had been going to join them the next day, but of course he immediately left work and began to drive up to be with them. The whole way he chose, over and over again, to focus on images of their happy, healthy, playful selves, not allowing himself to consider any possibilities of injury. He filled his mind with memories and possibilities of hugs and good times. When he arrived, the hospital workers expressed some puzzlement: his wife and kids had been in a really awful accident, but there were only minor scratches an bruises and they were ready to go home.

This is what is possible for all of us, here, now, today, and always - in all situations!

Here's the talk I gave to the Florence Unitarian Universalists, recorded Friday, Nov 6:

Insights into Eden (for our world, today)

10/21/2020

Years ago a woman I worked with said, "you know, we read the Bible backward; we're living through Armageddon and we end up in the Garden of Eden." It's a fascinating idea, and I've pondered it many times. Especially now, when it appears that the world - that is this culture of acquisition-and-control, is coming to an end, falling apart all around us.
Recently I drove a few thousand miles and, as I often do, sampled the various sermons being broadcast along the way. The consistent theme was that we were living in a world of constant temptation to deviate from the path of loving wisdom into the world's foolishness and distress. And one of the preachers reminded his listeners of the story of what was in place before the creation of the world/universe. He spoke of the bright angel, the being who was so close to God that it bore the name Luci-fere: Light-maker. I listened intently as the voice on the radio reminded us all that here was a being who became aware of how wonderful it was and declared that it was no less than the Creator of All - for which it was "pushed" (and the preacher reiterated -"pushed, not fell" from Heaven. Then the preacher told of how the serpent in the Garden of Eden was the same being, taking physical form, and, having first questioned what God's instructions were concerning the Tree of Knowledge, stated a lie: "you will not die but will be like God" and to Adam and Eve were expelled - not fell - from Eden.
For several hundred miles I considered these words. I reflected on the thoughts I'd had a couple weeks back when I realized that it's not that anyone is prevented from entering, or staying, in that state of being we call Heaven, but that some patterns of thought-feeling simply cannot support being in that state. Pride, fear, anger, and shame are some of the states of thought-feeling that can't be experienced while experiencing Heaven, so if we remain attached to those thought-feelings we are unable to be in that state we call Heaven.
From that state of reference I could immediately understand how Lucifer, with that pride, would no longer be able to experience the heavenly state of being. And, reflecting on the fig leaves Adam and Eve thought they now needed, I could see how their shame would prevent them from being able to maintain the close relationship with their Creator that was the defining characteristic of Eden.  Feeling shameful, they would have to leave, and experience what a life based on duplicity and shame is like.
Not too surprisingly, when I returned home and got online, one of my favorite online teachers had just posted a YouTube on the subject of the Tree of Knowledge...

Here, then, is yet another interpretation and understanding of the nature of Eden - and the "sin" that decided the fate of Adam and Eve. Isn't it wonderful? The fundamental Jewish principle, that the work of being human (tikkun) is to fix what is broken in the universe, is explained in a way that allows us to let go of the idea that we were born into shame and lies. Thank you, Rabbi, so much, for this insight!
So, as I look around me at the broken world that we are living in today, I see, not more shame and lies, but more ways in which the old story is beginning to break down and a new one, based on the fundamental beauty and lovingness of humanity is beginning to replace it.
What we are seeing today is the possibility of living in our greatness, rather than a story of our poverty of spirit and character. What we are learning today is how powerful our light is to burn away the dark shadows we've been afraid of - when we let it shine.

Where There's Smoke...

9/9/2020

A high wind blew from the NE across Oregon the other night, carrying smoke from dozens of wildfires with it. The next morning, this is what a friend's view of her yard and the ocean beyond looked like. Really. No filters on the camera - and no fire within miles!
Picture
Today it's better here. Looks like a smoggy day in 1970s LA with the sun an orange disk through the haze. The power was back on this morning so I've vacuumed the first layer of ash that blew through the cracks with the 70+ mph winds the other night, but everything feels gritty and I wear a mask outside to filter our the ash, breathing in thru the nose behind the mask and out thru an uncovered mouth - much easier on the lungs when walking. But friends and family are now being evacuated from the fires that the wind started - all over the state.
And, of course, I'm looking at the meaning behind the experience. What's really going on here? What in our consciousness is being made manifest in our experience?
And, again, there are so many levels!
  •   First level of possible explanation - every other region of the continent has had major disasters this year and now it's time for the Pacific Northwest to get its share. Ouch! Don't like that one much! But it is part of our belief system, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were at least part of what's happening here.
  •   Second level, additional possibility - there's been a huge immigration to Oregon of Californians running away from wildfires. - and guess what! What we resist (or run away from) persists, and they brought what they were avoiding with them. We Oregonians bought into their distress and to some extent are now experiencing the effects of that. Don't like this one much either, but it is how things work: we get what we accept as real and get more of what we have emotions around.
  •   Third level - as the veil is thinning between dreams and reality, people's fears are becoming their experience immediately and in spades. With the media focusing on all the fires in California, as well as the fires in the "riots" happening in cities when protesters, police, and inciters clash, it's not too surprising that such things are in peoples' minds, and must therefore become their experience.
All of these possible explanations are based on the fact that we experience what we believe and focus on. And that is, I'm sure, a big contributor to the level of distress being experienced.
But there's something more, something even deeper, happening here. As I was cleaning up the ash that covered the surfaces of my little house, and looked out the window at the smoke-filled air this morning, I felt a flashback to times when I've been "cleansed by smoke" and thought of the cleansing effect of fire. Perhaps that's what's really happening in all this. If we could but see it and understand it, we might be able to take this whole experience to a new level.
Picture
The cover of my latest ebook reflects this. It's a picture a friend took at a "fire puja" a cleansing ceremony, a time of release and renewal. The light and the heat and the intensity of the experience are all part of the process of letting go of attachments to things of the past and beginning to create - or become - something that's more fully who we are capable of being.
What if all this fire and ash, and all the smoke in the air is just that?
What if we are being cleansed?
What if we are being prepared to become something more than we've allowed ourselves to be thus far?
    What if ...?
I'm certain that this is the time when all of us are being called to live and love and see life at a whole new level of being. Knowing that I accept the gift of this smoke and receive the cleansing and opening to new possibility that it offers.

May the light and love and cleansing Spirit of Life fill you and your world, lifting all of us to new heights of being in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Waves of Visions - seeing the meaning

8/21/2020

Recently there’s been a flood of descriptions of dreams, visions, and Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) in which Jesus is telling people to pray for Trump and Barr to turn around a potential disaster that is expected this fall: a new wave of distress and with it, a heavy-handed military presence eliminating our freedoms – going beyond the methods that were tested and proven effective this past spring.
I’ve been listening very carefully to what’s being said for they hold a kernel of a much deeper process going on, and hold clues to my own development.
Both religious and non-religious (but spiritual) people are getting these messages, in various countries. They’re all being told in multiple ways that another wave of distress is coming this fall, and it could be worse than what we’ve been through. Many are being encouraged to deepen their spiritual practice and stock up on supplies to minimize its effects. Bible-based Christians are getting a very clear political message as well:
  • They’re being told that Donald Trump’s election stopped a political and economic plan that is designed to enslave all Americans in a dark future that will enable a very few powerful people to live well and free.
  • They’re being told that we’ve been through one, but more waves of distress are coming (some say a third one is on the way; some say 2 more); with the radical shift in political and social expression, with the 2018 election being the 1st wave of disruption; the CoVid-19 pandemic a second wave, and the oncoming flu season with possibly a new strain could be another, as could violent reactions to the elections being met with military force.
  • They’re being told “Trump is turning people to God” and needs their prayers to continue to do this important work.
  • They’re being told to earnestly pray for Trump and his Attorney General, Bill Barr, to put an end to the evil and corruption that has, for years, been everywhere in the media and government.
  • They’re being told that undoing Roe v. Wade will return America to its blessed state.
  • They’re being told that the passionate action of Jesus’ Church is the only thing between humanity’s glory and its degradation into slavery.
To address all this they’re being encouraged in these visions to do four things:
  1. Pray for the current leaders of the nation;
  2. Let go of any tendencies to turn away from Jesus’ teachings, including the belief that individuals can do anything without divine support;
  3. Stock up on essentials to help those who will be in need as the next wave of distress hits;
  4. Vote in the November election for the people who they know will do the right thing, which for the “religious right” means will undo Roe v. Wade, which they’ve believed since 9/11 has put a curse on the US because the government is supporting the killing of innocent beings.
And they have accepted these images and instructions at face value and are sharing them with the world.

I’ve spent the better part of the last couple months digesting all of this: listening, observing, noting consistencies and differences, comparing what I’ve perceived with other sources of information and, finally, going inside to find my own spiritual guidance. It hasn’t been easy, and some of it hasn’t been pleasant, but I think I’m beginning to get the deeper understanding that can guide us all. There are, of course, multiple levels of interpretation of these visions, and I’m outlining them in a new book about Apocalypse, which I hope to complete by the end of the month.
There are also multiple levels of interpretation for the instructions received, the primary one being: use the power you have to bring Heaven (a state of being in which beauty, love, and harmony are the norm) and Earth (a state of being in which attachment to material things is a constant source of distress) together.
